Lago di Garda Nothern Italy

SUNDAY  We meet our tour leader at 6.30 p.m. for our Air Malta flight to Verona departing at 8.25 p.m. and arriving at 10.20 p.m. We make our way to our hotel on Lago di Garda
MONDAY  Today after breakfast an exciting family fun day in a fascinating park awaits us, the Canevaworld Resort (optional) a world of fun for the whole family. You can spend the day enjoying the adventurous Movie World as well as the Aqua Paradise (entrances extra). If you opt to enjoy the Movie World without the Aqua Paradise the transfer back to Garda will be around 3.00 p.m. and for the rest who will be splashing away in the Aqua Paradise, the transfer will be scheduled after closure. The rest of the evening is free for dinner and a stroll in Garda.
TUESDAY  Immediately after breakfast, our full day optional excursion will take us to visit the most romantic of cities, Venice (ferry extra), where we admire famous landmarks like the Rialto Bridge, the Dodges Palace, St Mark’s Square, the Basilica of San Marco and the impressive Grand Canal. We stroll through narrow streets and along the canals. In the afternoon we will have time for souvenir shopping and to eat from one of the many Trattorias. We will later return to Garda in time for dinner.
WEDNESDAY Ample time for breakfast and later we depart for our optional full day excursion taking us to Bardolino and Sirmione. Bardolino is one of Lake Garda’s most popular and lively resorts, with a huge assortment of bars, gelaterias, pizzerias and restaurants packed into its traffic-free streets as they wind their way down to the town’s impressive main piazza. This is the perfect place to relax and indulge in a delicious Italian ice-cream or a glass of Bardolino’s famous red wine. Early afternoon we go to Sirmione, the “Pearl of Lake Garda” and enjoy its beautiful surroundings. Sirmione has a pedestrian quarter with cobbled streets lined with boutiques, cafes and cake shops. There are many archeological trails to follow which are extremely interesting with magnificent scenery. We return to our hotel for dinner.
THURSDAY  Breakfast will be followed by an optional full day excursion to the Dolomites. Our coach will take us to the famous Dolomites, with a short stop to see the cascades in Nardis. After we proceed to the skiing resort Madonna di Campiglio with a possibility of taking a cable car (extra) to one of the surrounding mountains. We see the wonderful scenery throughout this excursion, passing by picturesque villages and lovely mountains. Some free time to enjoy this day to its fullest, before we return to our hotel and have dinner.
FRIDAY  This morning after breakfast our coach takes us to an optional visit to the famous and popular theme park, Gardaland together with Sea Life Aquarium . A day of fun with spectacular shows and attractions await us (entrance extra). The evening return transfer to the hotel is scheduled either at 7.00 p.m. in time for dinner or after the famous night parades. (Night parades only in programme up to mid September). If you are on half board and have decided to stay for the night parades, a packed lunch will be provided.
SATURDAY  As soon as breakfast is over, we go on an optional full day excursion to Lago di Garda. Our coach will take us to Riva del Garda, where we will spend some time visiting the town centre, before we go on a mini-cruise (extra) to Limone. Here we will have time to stroll around and do some souvenir shopping. Later on we proceed by boat to Malcesine, another very popular village on Lago di Garda, full of artisan shops. Our coach will be waiting for us to take us back to our hotel and enjoy dinner.
SUNDAY  Ample time for our last breakfast followed by some free time before we check out of the rooms and board our coach and drive to Verona where we see amongst others the mighty Roman Arena, the impressive Baroque Palazzo Maffei and of course Juliet’s house with the famous balcony. We later proceed to the airport for our Air Malta flight departing at 11.10 p.m. and arriving in Malta at 1.00 a.m. early Monday morning.
