Itinerary
We will meet at the airport at 7am for our Ryanair flight departing at 9.35am and arriving in Warsaw airport at 12.30pm. Upon arrival we will start our drive towards the Masurian Lake District. Upon arrival we will check-in at the 3-star Mikołajki Resort Hotel & Spa, nestled right on the shores of the lake and have dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will have a half-day excursion to visit the charming medieval town of Reszel, we will explore this preserved old town, with its cobbled street and gothic architecture, highlighted by its castle and overlooking the Sajna River. Later in the afternoon, upon return to the hotel we will have time to enjoy the spa, wellness centre and indoor pool, or make use of the hotel’s private lakeside beach for a truly relaxing afternoon. The hotel sits directly on the water, so one can also enjoy a gentle lakeside walk at own pace. Later in the evening, we’ll gather for dinner together at the hotel (included).
After breakfast, we set out to visit the charming lakeside town of Mrągowo, where we will enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront. We then return to Mikołajki for a pleasant stroll through the town before embarking on a boat cruise on Lake Śniardwy (included). During the cruise, we will take in the fresh air and scenic views of Poland’s largest lake. In the late afternoon, we return to the hotel for dinner (included).
Today we will experience one of the highlights of the tour — a peaceful rafting journey (included) along the Krutynia River, regarded as one of the most beautiful waterways in Poland. We’ll glide on traditional flat-bottomed boats through crystal-clear, shallow waters surrounded by the untouched wilderness of the Krutynia Nature Reserve. In the afternoon, we will visit Olsztyn, the charming capital of Warmia & Masuria. Here we’ll explore its Gothic Teutonic Castle, wander through the picturesque Old Town, and enjoy the beauty of the Łyna River flowing through the city. Late afternoon we will return to Mikołajki, and have dinner at the hotel (included).
After breakfast, we will check out from our hotel and begin our journey to Warsaw, the vibrant capital of Poland. Nearly destroyed during World War II, Warsaw was rebuilt from the ashes and has transformed into a dynamic city known for its cultural energy, modern architecture, and thriving business and science scene. After checking in at our 4-star Hotel Novotel, we will take a short familiarisation walk with our tour leader to get acquainted with the area.
Today we will explore Warsaw’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, through a guided walking tour beginning at the Market Square and walking through its charming narrow streets to the medieval defensive walls, the Barbican, St. John’s Cathedral, and the Royal Castle. After some free time for lunch (extra), we will visit Łazienki Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Warsaw. Once a royal hunting ground, it was transformed into an elegant English-style landscape garden featuring formal paths, serene lake views, and the neoclassical Łazienki Palace, set on an island. A highlight of the park is the famous Frédéric Chopin statue, surrounded by peaceful greenery.
Today we will enjoy a full-day excursion to Nieborów Palace and Arkadia Park, a beautiful example of Poland’s aristocratic heritage. Nieborów Palace (entrance included), a 17th-century Baroque residence, is surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens and filled with elegant period interiors. Just a short drive away lies Arkadia Park (entrance included), a romantic English-style landscape park created in the late 18th century. Wander along winding paths past classical temples, artificial ruins, and serene ponds, all designed to blend art, nature, and imagination. This excursion offers a perfect combination of history, architecture, and tranquil natural beauty. We will return to Warsaw afterwards.
After breakfast and check-out, we will head to Kampinos National Park, one of the most beautiful natural areas in Poland, rich in a variety of wildlife. Here we will be visiting the Kampinos Forest Museum (extra) in Granica which blends the natural and human history of the forest through a short, guided visit, offering an introduction to the unique nature, wildlife, and cultural heritage of this Park in a historic wooden foresters’ complex. The experience is complemented by nearby walking paths, open-air displays, and peaceful forest surroundings. Later in the afternoon we will head to Warsaw airport for the Ryanair flight departing at 7.25pm and arriving in Malta at 10.20pm.
