Itinerary
We meet at Malta International Airport at 8.15am for the flight to Istanbul, departing at 1040am and arriving at 2.10pm. Later have the flight to Cairo, departing at 6.25pm and arriving at 8.50pm. Upon arrival we will be greeted and transferred to the hotel, Holiday Inn Maadi (or similar) in Cairo, check in and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel and then we start the day by visiting the Great Pyramids & Sphinx, followed by the visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Today, lunch at a local restaurant is included. Overnight in Cairo.
Breakfast. Early morning, pick you up and transfer to Cairo airport for the flight Cairo to Luxor. Later we proceed with visits of the East Bank of the Nile including the Temple of Karnak & the Temple of Luxor. Afterwards we are transferred to our cruise – MS Royal Princess (or similar) for embarkation. Lunch & dinner will be on board of the cruise. Overnight in Luxor.
Breakfast on board of the cruise. Finish with the visits of the West Bank of the Nile including The Valley of Kings, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari. We sail to Esna Lock - Lunch will be during the sail. Later sail to Edfu. Dinner on board of the cruise and overnight on board Edfu.
Breakfast on board of the cruise. Visit the Temple of God Horus (Edfu) son of Osiris one of the most complete architectures in Egypt. Sail to Kom-Ombo and lunch on board of the cruise during the sail. Arrival at Kom-Ombo and we visit the Temple of Kom-Ombo, dedicated for Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing to Aswan & the dinner will be during the sail. Arrive Aswan and overnight on board of the cruise.
Breakfast and today we set off and discover Abu Simble – a historic site comprising two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel, upper Egypt, near the border with Sudan. It is situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 230km southwest of Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board of the cruise in Aswan.
Breakfast on board the cruise and disembarkation. We later proceed with the visits of Aswan including the Temple of Philae and we end the visit with the High Dam. Afterwards, we are transferred to the airport for our flight from Aswan to Cairo. Arrival in Cairo, we are transferred to our hotel Holiday Inn Maadi (or similar).
Breakfast at our hotel in Cairo, then we start our day visiting the Citadel Mosque of Muhammad Ali: known as the Alabaster Mosque, located inside the citadel. This is followed by a visit to Mosque Madrasa of Sultan Hassan. Lunch during the day is at a local restaurant. Overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast, we start a full-day excursion. We will visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization then proceed to Old Cairo Islamic & Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Church of St. Barbara, Church of Aby Serga and Amr Ibn El As Mosque. Our next visit is Khan El Khalili. Lunch at a local restaurant – included. Later in the evening, we are transferred to Cairo airport for our flight to Istanbul, departing at 3.20am (Monday) and arriving at 5.45am. This flight is followed by our final flight to Malta, departing Istanbul at 8.15am and arriving at 8.50am.
