Itinerary
We meet at the airport at 11am for our KM Malta Airlines flight departing at 1.30pm and arriving in Prague at 4pm. We will be transferred to 4-star Hotel Holiday Inn Prague, or similar for check-in. Afterwards will join the tour leader for a familiarisation walk.
After breakfast we will start our half-day guided sightseeing city tour of the beautiful city of Prague visiting all major sights including the Castle, the lovely Cathedral of St. Vitus and walk along Charles Bridge, famous for its 30 statues. Afterwards will have free time for lunch, personal sightseeing or shopping. One can stroll around the Old Time Square and Wenceslas Square or take a boat trip on Vltava River (extra).
After breakfast, will check-out from hotel and start the excursion taking us to Brno, the Moravian capital, second largest city of Czech Republic famous for its gastronomy and modern architecture, where we will explore the main sights of the city centre. We will admire the remarkable square, exterior of old town hall, St. Peter & Paul Cathedral, and Capuchin Monastery. We will also visit the vegetable market situated over a labyrinth of underground corridors that were used to store food, brew beer and mature wine, which will also be visited. Late afternoon, we will be transferred to Vienna, and check-in at Hotel Trend Hotel Ananas.
During today excursion, we will have the opportunity to visit Vienna, the capital city of Austria and one of the most beautiful cities in all Europe, through a guided tour will be visiting the major sights, such as the St. Stephen Cathedral, Opera house & Hofburg Palace from outside, Graben and Kohlmarkt, Vienna major street with luxury boutiques. In the afternoon we will be visiting Vienna Woods, known for its natural beauty, history and panoramic views. We will also be visiting the panoramic terrace of Kahlenberg Hill Afterwards will visit Grinzing Village and Vineyards where they can take a nice walk along the vineyard paths and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
After breakfast, will check-out from hotel and start the excursion taking us first to Esztegrom famous for the great Basilica, the largest church in Hungary. We will proceed to visit Visegrád, a small castle town perched on a hill in the Danube Bend region. Moreover, we shall visit the lovely town of Szentendre, known for its vivid Baroque architecture and colours. Late afternoon will drive to Budapest, to check-in at Hotel Intercity.
Today the excursion will start with a guided walking tour on the Buda side of the city located across the river. The guided tour will take us around numerous major sites (exterior only), such as Matthias Church and the famous Fisherman Bastion, with its lookout towers, stands as one of the top attractions of Budapest providing the best panoramic views. We will have free time to explore the castle quarter. Later we will proceed with the bus tour on the Pest side of the city, including Heroes square, Vajdahunyad castle, Andrassy street, Opera house, the Basilica and Vaci street, where we will find numerous shops. The tour will finish at the Parliament, one of Budapest landmarks, we will have the opportunity to admire its interior through a guided tour (entrance included).
Our last excursion takes us first to visit the town of Kecskemét, afterwards will proceed to Puszta, offering a unique Hungarian experience. Upon arrival we will enjoy traditional welcome drink, afterwards watch the skilled Hungarian cowboys demonstrate their traditional equestrian skills. We will also have a carriage ride to enjoy the scenic landscapes. Will finish the excursion with a 3-course Hungarian lunch including wine. Late afternoon will return to hotel and have a free evening to enjoy the last night in Budapest, one may opt to visit the Szecheny Thermal baths (extra).
After check-out from our rooms, we will have free time for shopping at a close by shopping complex before we are transferred to the airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 3.45pm and arriving in Malta at 6.05pm.
