Itinerary

We will meet at the airport at 6am for our Ryanair flight departing at 8.35am and arriving at Gdansk Airport at 11.40am. Upon arrival we will be having a guided walking tour in the old town of Gdansk, the Polish maritime capital. We will stroll along the historical Royal Way, and the Dlugie Pobrzeze (Long waterfront) where we will discover priceless gems, including the delightful merchant’s houses, the Artus Court, the Gothic town Hall, the St Mary’s Church and Neptune Fountain. We will then make our way to our 4-star Hotel Sadova for check-in

Today, we will start the day with by visiting Sopot, a nearby town to Gdansk with its famous Sopot Pier (extra), where we will have free time for leisure at the beach. Later in the afternoon we will return to Gdansk and have the opportunity to enjoy a boat trip on the Black Pearl (extra), a pirate-style cruise ship that sails along the Motlawa River, offering stunning views of the old town waterfront.

Today we will check-out our hotel in Gdansk, board the coach and start the journey towards Poznań, one of the oldest and greenest cities in Poland. Upon arrival we will visit the Croissant Museum (entrance extra), offering an interactive experience, demonstrating how the famous St. Martin’s croissants are made. Later in the afternoon, we will check-in at our hotel 3- star Hotel Altus Old Town in Poznań.

After breakfast, we will begin with a guided walking tour of the Old Market Square of Poznań, where we will admire the colourful buildings, the Town Hall and the cathedral. We will then board the coach and continue to Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island), the historic heart of Poznań. Subject to availability, we may visit the interior of the cathedral, as access for tourists can be restricted during Mass. This atmospheric area, home to the city’s oldest monuments, offers insight into the origins and early history of Poznań. Later, we will proceed to a nearby park for a relaxing afternoon.

After breakfast, we will check-out of our hotel in Poznań and make our way to Wroclaw. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided walking tour of the Old Town, visiting its main highlights, including the iconic and colourful Market Square and the impressive Gothic-style Town Hall. We will then continue to Ostrow Tumski, known as Cathedral Island, one of the oldest and most atmospheric parts of Wroclaw, where we will explore its historic churches and learn about the city’s early history. In the afternoon, we will visit the University of Wroclaw (entrance extra), a historic institution known for excellence in mathematics and the sciences. Entering the main building and Mathematical Tower offers panoramic city views. Later in the afternoon, we will check-in at our 4-star Hotel Mercure in Wroclaw.

Today our excursion takes us to visit Lower Silesia, starting by a guided tour of Ksiaz castle. Beautifully surrounded by the forest at a height of 395 meters above sea level, the castle is often called ‘the Pearl of Lower Silesia’. We will proceed to visit Swidnica where we will find a market square full of colourful townhouses, beautiful fountains and a well with Neptune dating to 1732. We will also be able to visit the Church of Peace Swidnica (extra) which is the largest timber-framed religious buildings in Europe. Afterwards we will return to Wroclaw.

Today we will visit Raclawicka Panorama, a striking 15-metre-high, 114-metre-long 3D panoramic painting enhanced with realistic props, followed by the National Museum of Wroclaw (entrance included with Raclawicka). In the evening, guests may choose an optional Odra River cruise (extra, to be organised by tour leader) or enjoy a relaxed walk along the river.

We will check-out of the hotel and have a free morning in Wroclaw. Later, we will be transferred to Wroclaw airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 6 pm and arriving in Malta at 8.45pm.
