Itinerary

We will meet at the airport at 7.45am for the direct Ryanair flight to Turin departing at 10.15am and arriving in Turin at 12:20pm. Upon arrival, we shall head to the centre of Turin to explore this city in the afternoon. Later, we continue our journey to our 4-star Grand Hotel Des Anglais in Sanremo to check-in.

Our first full-day in Sanremo will start by visiting the traditional market in Sanremo. There is no better way to get familiar with the area than strolling through these unique markets, with local authentic Italian products. We will later head to Dolceacqua, a small town where Monet painted the bridge to make the place a famous tourist destination in Liguria. We shall finish the day by visiting Menton, known as the ‘capital of lemon’, and one will notice the citrus theme everywhere you go.

This morning, we shall visit Portofino, known for its colourful painted buildings that line the shore. The town is clustered around its half-moon shaped harbour filled with yachts and odd fishing boats, and lined with highly-end shops, restaurants and cafes. We shall take a boat trip (extra – subject to weather conditions) from Rapallo to Portofino and admire the beautiful views that Portofino has to offer.

Our half-day excursion today will take us to Monaco, Montecarlo & Èze. We will start with Monaco where we shall explore the old town, the Palace and the Cathedral; famous for hosting the wedding of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly. A visit to the Oceano-graphic Museum (extra) is highly suggested as it is known to be one of the most beautiful marine museums in the world. Our second stop will be Montecarlo which is the most famous district in Monaco. It is home to the world famous Place du Casino, the Boulevard des Moulins and Saint-Charles Church. We shall finish the day by heading to the French Riviera to visit Èze. This beautiful village dates back to the Middle Ages, and it is mostly known for its panoramic views, ancient faced, and attention to detail.

Today's half-day excursion will take us to Nice. Nice is known for its beautiful seafront promenades, historic Old Town, artistic heritage and lively cultural festivals. Here, we shall have time to visit the key places of interest such as Avenue Jean-Médecin, with all its shops and big shopping centres such as the Galeries Lafayette, the famous Place Massena, the Palais du Justice and the Opera House.

Today, we will be given packed breakfast, as we shall make our way towards Turin Airport for our return flight departing at 9.20am and arriving in Malta at 11.25am.
