We will meet at the airport at 6am for our Ryanair flight to Zagreb departing at 08.10am. On arrival at 10.05am, we will be transferred to the area of Bled, known as the pearl of the Slovenian Alpine region. We shall visit Bled Castle (entrance extra), and then proceed to Bohinj, the largest glacier lake in Slovenia, situated in the region of the Julian Alps. We will take a cable car (extra – weather permitting) up to Mount Vogel and admire the stupendous view till we reach the summit. Before we start our way back to the hotel, we shall stop near Lake Bohinj to admire this largest natural permanent lake in Slovenia and take some picturesque photos. Then, we will make our way to our 4-Star City Hotel in Ljubljana and check-in.

After breakfast, we will make our way to Ptuj to take part in the vibrant Carnival Promenade. Carnival traditions run deep in this historic city, and today you’ll have the unique chance to become part of the celebration yourself. Put on a costume and join the lively procession alongside local townspeople, Romans, medieval merchants, Kurents, Korants, and a colorful array of other carnival characters. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the spirit of Ptuj’s most cherished festival.

Today’s excursion explores Kranjska Gora, set near the borders of Austria and Italy. The picturesque village still retains its identity, making it a beautiful place to visit. We will have time to use the cable chairs up the mountain (extra and weather permitting). We will then stop at the charming Lake Jasna. This stunning alpine lake offers breathtaking views of the high mountain peaks and a pleasant walk around this amazing lake, The lake is “guarded” by the monument of Zlatorog – the legendary chanois of Mount Triglav.

This morning, we will enjoy a city tour round Ljubljana. This friendly city has a baroque section of the old town, with narrow, cobbled streets nestled between the castle slopes and the river Ljubljanica. Particular highlights of the old town include the Cathedral of St Nikolai, City Hall, and the three bridges. We will begin with a panoramic city tour followed by a walking tour. In the afternoon, we can enjoy the city at leisure. One can take a boat ride (extra – weather permitting) on the River Ljubljanica, enjoy some shopping or visit the zoo (extra). We will then make our way to Zagreb airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 08.30pm and arriving at 10.25pm.
