We will enjoy a city tour before checking-in to our 3-Star B&B Hotel.
This morning, we will make our way to Austria to visit the city of Graz for our optional excursion. This is one of the best-preserved historical cities in Europe filled with impressive institutions and exciting cultural attractions. We will have a historic city walking tour. We will see the “Painted House”, adorned with Baroque frescos in 1742, the “Luegghaus” façade on the bottom corner of Sporgasse which is now home to the Swarovski store, Graz Town Square which is marked by a statue of Archduke Johann of Austria who helped develop Graz with various initiatives and grand visions over 50 years and view the Renaissance Architecture. For those interested in shopping, the Seiersberg Shopping Centre will be a must!
This morning, we will make our way to Ptuj for our optional excursion, located just a short drive away from Maribor. We will explore its beauty in a walking tour through the town and visit Ptuj Castle (entrance extra), the Provost Church and the old City Hall. Later, we will proceed to to Kamnik and see one of the oldest towns in Slovenia surrounded by the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. We take a cable car ride (extra – weather permitting) to the Velika Planina.
After breakfast, on today’s excursion, we discover the unique lovely wine region of Jeruzalem, nicknamed the Tuscany of Slovenia. We will pay a visit to a winery (extra) for some wine tasting. We later proceed to Vinarium tower (extra) to experience a breathtaking view of the plains and hills spanning over four different countries namely Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, and Austria.
This morning, we will check-out and make our way to Ljubljana. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a city tour round Ljubljana. This friendly city has a baroque section of the old town, with narrow, cobbled streets nestled between the castle slopes and the river Ljubljanica. Particular highlights of the old town include the Cathedral of St Nikolai, City Hall, and the three bridges. We will begin with a panoramic city tour followed by a walking tour. Here we have some free time where one can take a boat ride (extra – weather permitting) on the River Ljubljanica and enjoy some shopping.
