Itinerary
We meet at the airport at 11.30am for our Ryanair flight departing at 2.05pm and arriving in Barcelona at 4.20pm. We board the coach and drive towards Lloret de Mar, upon arrival we will check-in at Hotel Garbi Park and have time for dinner (extra if half-board is not taken). After dinner, will join the tour leader for a familiarisation walk around Lloret de Mar.
After breakfast we will start our first optional full-day excursion to Barcelona, to explore this Catalonian City famous for Gaudi and other Art Nouveau architecture. We will admire Barcelona highlights through our private bus sightseeing guided tour, including panoramic view of Gaudi houses, Plaza de Espana, Olympic village, Columbus monument and Montjuic Mountain. Later in the afternoon we will be visiting the Aquarium (extra), the largest of its kind in the world, dedicated specifically to the Mediterranean. Who opts not to enter the aquarium will have free time for shopping or personal sightseeing in the same area.
Today we will start by visiting Montserrat, a unique mountain range offering magnificent views over Catalonia. We will visit the Basilica (included) where the statue of the Black Madonna is located. Later in the afternoon we will be visiting a famous local bottega, having 35 barrels of different wine, we will have the opportunity to taste a variety of local cheeses, ham and wines, as well as purchase these local products as well as numerous souvenirs at a good price.
During our full-day optional excursion, today we will have the opportunity to visit the Marineland Aqua Park (extra) where we will spend the day watching dolphins, seals and penguins. One can get the adrenaline rush on the waterslides, feel the thrill on some rides, visit the aquarium and watch some live shows.
Our optional excursion takes us first to visit the Mataro shopping complex, where we will find over 80 shops and restaurants where we will spend a few hours. Later in the afternoon we will be visiting Tossa de Mar, a charming Catalan town known for its beautiful beaches, towers and its cobbled streets of the historic old Town, offering beautiful coastal views.
Our full-day optional excursion today will be a day filled with adventures for all ages, as we will be visiting Porta Aventura, the biggest theme park in Spain, and third largest in Europe. The Park is divided into six themed areas, Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Mexica, Far West and Sesame Street Aventura having various fun rides and shows. Note: Entrance is extra, but mandatory to be pre-booked and pre-paid, based on group date and ages.
Our last half-day optional excursion takes us visit the charming city of Girona, known for its history, culture and breathtaking landscapes. We will wonder through its well-preserved medieval streets and experience its unique blend of traditions. One of the most recognisable filming locations from the sixth season of Games of Thrones, is the Girona Cathedral, an impressive Gothic building. In the afternoon will have free time to enjoy Lloret de Mar.
After check-out from our rooms, we will board the coach and head to Barcelona Zoo (extra), home to over 2,000 animals from more than 300 species, having one of the largest reptile and amphibian collections in Europe. The zoo is located in the Parc de la Ciutadella, which is the greenest oasis in Barcelona. Whoever chooses not to enter at the zoo, can enjoy a walk and relax while enjoying the various tree and plant species of this park. Afterwards we will have some time at La Ramblas, a vibrant, bustling part of the city, renowned for its street performances, colourful markets and diverse restaurants. Later in the afternoon we will be transferred to the airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 4.55pm and arriving in Malta at 7.10pm.
