Itinerary
We will meet at the airport at 4.00am for our KM Malta Airlines flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport departing at 6.00am. On arrival at 9.00am, we will head to Paris for a panoramic city tour, where we shall see, amongst other, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel, Place de la Concorde, L’ Opera and Notre Dame Cathedral. Afterwards, we will go to check-in at our 4-star Appart Hôtel - Residhome Courbevoie la Défense in Paris.
After breakfast, we shall head for a half-day excursion to Montmartre. With its cobbled streets, stunning Basilica, artists, and bistros, Montmartre is full of charm. Perched on the top of a small hill, we shall visit the famous Sacré-Cœur basilica which is a masterpiece of grace, and known as the largest mosaic in France.
Our half-day excursion will take us to Versailles, a historic city in the Île-de-France region of northern France, just southwest of Paris. It is best known for the majestic Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles) (entrance extra), listed as a World Heritage and one of the greatest achievements in French 17th century art. We will also visit the Gardens of Versailles (Les Jardins), spread over 800 hectares, the formal gardens designed by André Le Nôtre.
Today’s half-day excursion will take us to visit the famous landmark – the Eiffel Tower (entrance extra – 2nd floor), built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World’s Fair and is one of the world’s most visited monuments. Afterwards, we shall take a river cruise (extra) from the Seine, the emblematic river that runs through the City of Light, discover the jewel of Paris’ historic heritage from a unique angle. This will be a commented cruise on the Seine aboard the Bateaux Parisiens, and we shall admire the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and the Musée d'Orsay from fully glazed boats, for an authentic magical experience.
Today, we shall have a free day for personal sightseeing and shopping. The tour leader will assist with options and suggestions.
This morning, we shall check-out from our hotel, and have the rest of the day free. Our coach will then take us to Paris Orly Airport for our return KM Malta Airlines flight departing at 8.55pm and arriving in Malta at 11.35pm.
