Itinerary

We meet at the airport at 3.35am for our Ryanair flight to Manchester leaving at 6.05am and arriving at 8.35am. Upon arrival, we go on a panoramic city tour of Manchester with a short stop in the centre after which we proceed to Leeds. Upon arrival we check-in into our hotel Leonardo Leeds and later will join the tour leader for a familiarisation walk around Leeds, the vibrant city of West Yorkshire known for its rick history, cultural diversity and modern attractions. We will also have some time for shopping.

After breakfast, today our optional excursion starts by visiting Whitby, visiting the iconic Whitby Abbey (extra), then stroll around the picturesque harbour, where one can enjoy some classic fish and chips. Afterwards will be heading to Robin Hood Bay, to explore the charming village and its narrow streets and cottages. We will walk down to the bay for a scenic coastal walk.

Today our optional excursion takes us to the Lake District. We will make a stop at Windermere and take a cruise (extra) on this famous lake and cross from Bowness to Ambleside. Here, we will find the coach waiting for us, which will take us to the centre. We will do a short walk along the main street to see the watermills that used to function by the river Rothay that crosses this village. After leaving Ambleside, we make another stop at Keswick, one of the most beautiful villages in Lake District. Before we walk to the centre of Keswick, we shall visit Derwent Water Lake.

Today our optional excursion takes us to the Yorkshire Dales to enjoy stunning countryside. We will start by visiting the charming village of Haworth, famously known as the home of the Bronte, where one can enjoy art galleries or a coffee. Afterwards we will visit the town of Skipton, when we can see its medieval castle, and walk through the bustling high street lined with charming shops, cafes and local markets. In the afternoon we will proceed to visit the Wensleydale Creamery located in picturesque village of Haworth, where we will join a cheesemaking demonstration and a self-guided tour around the museum to learn about the history of artisan cheesemaking in the Dales (extra).

Today, we will leave Leeds and make our way to Glasgow, in Scotland. We make a stop at Gretna Green. Upon arrival in the hotel, we do the check-in at Premier Inn Glasgow City George Square have some time to rest. If the weather permits, we explore the main roads of Glasgow or we go on an open top Double Decker Bus (extra).

After breakfast, today our optional excursion takes us first to the village of Stirling, where we shall visit the old town. Stirling is famous for the Battle of Stirling during which William Wallace defeated the British. Afterwards, we will proceed to the Highlands and visit Loch Lomond to enjoy the scenic beautiful landscapes. One can opt to take a cruise (extra) on this freshwater lake. Note Group 2- Instead of Stirling & Loch Lomond Excursion, we will be having Edinburgh & Military Tattoo excursion on this day.

Following breakfast, today we will join the tour leader to for a walking tour to explore the vibrant city of Glasgow, famous for its art collections and shopping, as well as numerous established restaurants and bars. We will explore the gems of this city, such as the Cathedral, Necropolis, George Square and Gallery of Modern art. Weather permitting, we will explore the main roads of Glasgow on an open top Double Decker Bus (extra). Afterwards we will have some free time for personal sightseeing. Later in the afternoon will have an optional excursion to the Kelpies, a where we can admire the 30 metres high horse-like sculptures standing over the Forth & Clyde Canal.

Today our optional excursion takes starts with a scenic drive to Pitlochry. First, we will visit the Blair Castle (extra), the home of Dukes and Earls of Atholl for over seven centuries, with an option to visit either the gardens only, or both the house and gardens. Afterwards we will proceed to Pitlochry where we will have free time in Pitlochry centre and could visit the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre, offering informative displaces about the dam history and its role in hydroelectric power generation.

Today will start the optional excursion late morning, taking us to the captivating city of Edinburgh where rich history and stunning architecture offers unique and unforgettable experience. We will stroll along Princess Street, explore the Cathedral, and visit the Holyrood Palace (extra). We will also have some free time where one can enjoy the atmosphere of the Fringe Festival that is held on the Royal Mile. In the evening, we head to the Edinburgh Castle (built in the 12th century) for the spectacular and much awaited Military Tattoo show. After the show we return to the hotel in Glasgow late at night around 1am. Note Group 2- Instead of Edinburgh & Military Tattoo excursion, will be having Stirling & Loch Lomond Excursion on this day.

After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel, have some free time and late morning will make our way to Edinburgh airport, where we catch the Ryanair flight at 2.55pm and arriving in Malta at 7.45pm.
