Itinerary

We meet at the airport at 10.30am for our Ryanair flight departing at 12pm and arriving in Manchester at 2.35pm. We board the coach and drive towards Hotel Trevone, a Maltese run hotel located on Llandudno’s famous 250 year old Victorian promenade, offering stunning views of Llandudno Bay. After check-in, we can stroll along the Llandudno Promenade, Wales’ largest sea side resort, before taking a ride on the Great Orme Tramway (extra & weather permitting) to enjoy panoramic views of Llandudno and the surrounding coast.

Today’s optional excursion takes us to the heart of Snowdonia National Park, known as Eryri in Welsh. We begin with a journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, climbing to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. Sit back and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery as the tram ascends to the top. We’ll have around 30 minutes at the summit to take in the panoramic views before returning by train to Llanberis. Back in the village, we’ll enjoy a leisurely walk alongside Lake Padarn before driving through the scenic Llanberis Pass. Our next stop is Swallow Falls — a stunning cascade set in a beautiful woodland gorge — where we’ll pause for photos and enjoy coffee at the charming café of the Swallow Falls Hotel. We then continue to the delightful village of Betws-y-Coed for free time and a peaceful riverside stroll along the picturesque Paradise Walk.

Today’s excursion takes us to Llangollen, a picturesque riverside town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. We begin with an optional short canal boat ride (extra), lasting around 45 minutes, gliding gently along the historic Llangollen Canal — a peaceful journey offering beautiful views of the Welsh countryside and surrounding hills. Afterwards, we’ll explore the town’s charming riverside and local shops before taking a leisurely walk from the village Corn Mill, a beautifully restored watermill that can be visited, following the scenic path alongside the River Dee.

After breakfast, we head to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, crossing the iconic Menai Bridge to reach Beaumaris — a charming seaside town overlooking Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. Here, you may opt to visit the historic Beaumaris Castle or enjoy free time exploring the village. We then stop at the famous souvenir shop in Llanfair¬ before continuing to Plas Newydd (extra), a magnificent Grade I listed mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens with stunning views across the Menai Strait. We end the day at the Tacla Taid Motor Museum, home to an impressive collection of classic vehicles and a lovely conservatory café.

Today’s optional excursion takes us to the artful and modern village of Portmeirion to explore Sir Clough Willians-Ellis architecture. Here we will explore the charming blend of colourful architecture, lush gardens and scenic views, based on the Italian village of Portofino and made famous by the 1960’s British TV drama ‘The prisoner’. In the afternoon, we visit Caernarfon, home to the impressive 13th-century Caernarfon Castle (extra). Here, we can also explore the medieval town walls, stroll through the historic streets, and enjoy the lively Market Square, taking in the charm of shops, cafes, and local heritage.

Today’s excursion begins at the magnificent Bodnant Gardens (extra), with 80 acres of landscaped terraces overlooking the Conwy Valley. We then travel through the Ogwen Valley, continuing to Conwy, a medieval town and harbour, where you can explore the town walls, visit Conwy Castle (extra), or enjoy traditional fish and chips by the quay. Later in the afternoon upon arrival to Llandudno, we will have time for some shopping and to continue exploring the area.

After check-out from our rooms, we will board the coach heading to Manchester Airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 2.30pm and arriving in Malta at 6.55pm.
