Itinerary

We meet at the airport at 9.45am for our direct flight to Podgorica departing at 11.45am and arriving at 1.45pm. Upon arrival, we will drive to Podgorica and enjoy a city tour. We will visit the Temple of Podgorica, stop by the Orthodox Church and Mosque, Clock Tower in the Old Town and The Monument of Josip Broz Tito. After, we will make our way to our 4-star Hotel Kings Park in Podgorica and check-in.

After breakfast, we will make our way to an unforgettable journey to Žabljak. Nestled in the stunning landscapes of Durmitor National Park (compulsary extra), Žabljak is the highest urban settlement in the Balkans, offering panoramic views and a breath of fresh alpine air. We will then proceed to Crno Jezero, also known as the Black Lake, a glacial lake located on Mount Durmitor. We will have some time to enjoy a serene walk around the lake and explore hidden trails. Next, we’ll head to the iconic Durdevica Tara Bridge, a marvel of engineering that spans 150 meters above the stunning Tara River.

After breakfast, we will start our excursion by driving towards Budva where we will have a guided city tour of the old town. Budva is 2,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. We will then drive towards the bay of Kotor which is one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Mediterranean. We will go around the town centre with its beautiful Romanesque cathedral, surrounded with walls and fortress which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We will then end our day at Perast, a small fisherman city. We will have some time where one can opt to take a boat to Lady of the Rocks (extra).

Our excursion will take us to Cetinje (city tax extra), stopping by the most important historical parts and will visit the King Nikola Palace (entrance extra). The Montenegrin crown jewels, among the most renowned exhibit of the National Museum, are displayed in the entrance hall. We will then proceed to Lipska Cave (entrance included). One of the largest cave monuments in Montenegro where nature has created unique and striking forms of cave ornaments which leave an everlasting impression on the visitors. We will then proceed to Lovcen national park (compulsory extra), home to the burial site of Njegos, one of Montenegro’s most significant historical figures.

This morning, we will check-out and make our way to Virpazar. Here, we will enjoy a captivating boat tour on Skadar Lake which lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro and is the largest lake in Southern Europe. After an unforgettable cruise on Lake Skadar, we have the opportunity to enjoy a lunch (included) on the lakeshore with a stunning view. This gastronomic experience will indulge us in the authentic cusine of Crmnica and its surrounding regions. After, we will make our way to the airport for our flight departing at 8.15pm and arriving in Malta at 9.45pm.
