Itinerary
We meet at the airport at 8.30am for our Ryanair flight departing at 10.55am and arriving in Liverpool at 1.30pm. We board the coach and drive towards Hotel Trevone, a Maltese run hotel located on Llandudno’s famous 250 year old Victorian promenade, offering stunning views of Llandudno Bay. After check-in, we can stroll along the Llandudno Promenade, Wales’ largest sea side resort.
After breakfast we will start our first optional full-day excursion to Liverpool through a panoramic tour to see the historic landmarks of the city. In the afternoon we will visit the Roman city of Chester, the beautiful walled city excellent for dining and shopping experiences between the traditional sandstone buildings.
Today’s full-day optional excursion takes us to the heart of Snowdonia National Park known as Eryi in Welsh. The day will begin by travelling to Llanberis, where the Wyddfa, Wales highest mountain at 1085m, is situated. Along the way we will have a short stop at Swallow Falls waterfall, before proceeding to the scenic Pas Y Pass through the national Park into Betws-y-Coed. Here one can enjoy the forested valleys, serene river and waterfalls.
During today’s full-day optional excursion, we will have the opportunity to visit a UNESCO World Heritage site of Llangollen, a riverside town with picturesque views. Upon arrival al Llangollen, we will have free time to explore the wonderful waterfalls that flow through the town. One may opt to embark on a relaxing boat ride (extra) across the viaduct to Llangollen, enjoying the scenery of Dee Valley. Afterwards we will travel up the Horseshoe pass to the Ponderosa viewing area.
After breakfast, today’s full-day excursion will take us to the spectacular Welsh Coast. We will start by visiting a small village which has the longest name in the world, where we will have time for some souvenir shopping. Afterwards, we will proceed to the Menai bridge, visiting the Belgian Promenade and St Tysilio’s church. Early afternoon will visit Beaumaris, and one may opt to visit the interior of its Castle (extra), considered one of the finest surviving concentric medieval castles. Later will return hotel through Ogwen Valley enjoying breathtaking scenery.
Today’s full-day optional excursion takes us first to visit the exterior of the Caernarfon Castle, a 13th century fortress built on legends and bitter medieval conflict. Will also visit the steam highland railway station, as well as the waterfront. Later, will proceed to the artful and modern village of Portmeirion to explore Sir Clough Willians-Ellis architecture. In the afternoon will return to Llandudno, via the villages of Beddgelert and Ffestiniog.
Our last full-day optional excursion takes us over mountain passes and onto Bodnant Gardens (extra), to enjoy 80 acres of majestic gardens overlooking the Conwy Valley. Afterwards we will drive to Conwy to enjoy the medieval town and harbour, having the opportunity to taste the traditional Fish ‘n’ chips.
After early check-out from our rooms, we will board the coach and head to Liverpool Airport for our Ryanair flight departing at 6.00am and arriving in Malta at 10.30am.
