Itinerary
We meet at the airport at 10am for our direct Ryanair flight departing at 12.30pm and arriving in Dublin Airport at 03.25pm. Once in Dublin, we are transferred to our hotel for check-in. Later, we will join the tour leader for familiarisation stroll around the hotel’s surroundings, offering a first taste of Dublin’s lively atmosphere. Dinner may be enjoyed independently (extra) at one of the many restaurants or traditional pubs located nearby.
Today’s excursion introduces us to Dublin’s most iconic monuments and cultural treasures. We begin with a guided walking tour that includes Trinity College, home to the illustrious Book of Kells, as well as a visit to the Chester Beatty Library and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Ireland. Our journey continues through the historic Old Town and the bustling Temple Bar district, before following the River Liffey to Fishamble Street, one of Dublin’s oldest streets. The afternoon is free for personal sightseeing, relaxing in a café, or shopping.
After breakfast, we check out and travel south toward Cork. Along the way, we stop at the impressive Rock of Cashel, dramatically perched on a limestone hill and offering wonderful photo opportunities and time to walk up to the ancient ruins. Our next stop is in Midleton for a guided tour of the Jameson Distillery (extra), where we learn about the craft of Irish whiskey-making and enjoy a tasting session. Later in the afternoon, we arrive in Cork and check in at our second hotel, with the evening free to relax or explore.
Today’s excursion begins with a guided tour of Cork, taking us to its major highlights such as St. Patrick’s Street, the Grand Parade, University College Cork, the Shandon Bells, and Nano Nagle Place. Around lunch time, we visit the historic English Market, famous for its local produce and vibrant atmosphere, where we enjoy some free time. In the afternoon, we drive to the colourful harbour town of Cobh to experience the Titanic Museum (extra), located where the final passengers boarded the ship. Weather permitting, we end with a short promenade along the waterfront before returning to Cork.
Today we will journey along the renowned Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most scenic routes. We begin in Killarney National Park, taking in its lakes, forests, and mountains, with brief stops at Torc Waterfall, Muckross Lake, and the stunning viewpoints of Ladies View and Moll’s Gap. We then follow the southern section of the Ring, where rugged mountains meet the Atlantic, pausing in the colourful village of Sneem before continuing through dramatic coastal landscapes. Our route concludes in the charming town of Kenmare, known for its traditional architecture and welcoming character. A day rich in panoramic views and the natural beauty of County Kerry.
Following breakfast, we check out and travel towards Shannon Airport. On the way, we stop in the city of Limerick for a short walk or photo stop, time permitting. We then continue to the airport for our return flight at 04.55pm, arriving in Malta at 09.35pm.
