We meet at the airport at 5.35am for our Air Malta flight departing at 7.35am and arriving in Rome at 9.00am. On arrival, we will be transferred to Montecatini via Siena, where we shall visit Piazza del Campo, the Palace and the Cathedral. We will continue our journey towards Montecatini and later check-in at our hotel. After dinner (extra) one can go for a familiarization walk with the tour leader.


Today we will be visiting Florence and Pisa (optional). In Florence amongst other places, we will be visiting the Duomo, Piazza Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. There will be some time for personal sightseeing before we leave towards Pisa, where we shall be visiting Piazza dei Miracolo and the famous Tower of Pisa.


We will start our journey towards Padova, where we will be staying for the following 2 days. After allocation of the rooms, we will have lunch (extra) and some time to rest. In the afternoon, we will go to Venice (optional) with the ferry and visit Piazza San Marco, Ponte Rialto together with other places of interest.


In Padova (optional) amongst other places, we will be visiting Prato della Valle, which is the largest square in Italy, and St. Anthony’s Basilica. Once entering this temple, one can experience a spiritual feeling due to the Saint’s tomb and the Relic’s Chapel. Afterwards, we will have some free time before we return to the hotel for lunch (extra). In the afternoon, we offer you an optional excursion to Sirmione situated in Lago di Garda. We will have time to take a cruise (extra). After Sirmione we will be visiting Verona and Arena, Juliet’s house and other historic buildings.


We will be leaving Padova and start the journey towards Bologna. Upon arrival we will be having the allocation of the rooms and a familiarization walk with the tour leader around the locality famous for its culture and history.


Today’s optional excursion will take us to San Marino, where we will be visiting the Castle, the Government’s Palace and Del Santo’s Cathedral.


Today we will be leaving Bologna towards Rome via Assisi.  Amongst other places of interest in St. Francis city, we will stop to admire the Porziuncola, a small Catholic church with great history. It is located within the papal Basilica of St. Mary of Angels where St. Francis died on the 3rd of October 1226. We will be visiting also the three Basilicas of St. Francis where he was buried. Upon arrival in Rome we will have the allocation of rooms.


Today’s optional excursion will take us to the Vatican City and Rome. We will have enough time to visit the famous temple of the Vatican. We will continue our journey to Rome and visit Piazza Venezia, Vittorio Emanuele’s Monument, the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore’s, the Colosseum and others. (Due to restricted circumstances we need to follow the traffic regulations in Rome’s centre therefore we need to make use of public transport (extra) and the rest of the tour by foot).


After breakfast we will start the first half of the day with some shopping and persona sightseeing.  In the afternoon we will have an optional excursion to Tivoli (entrance extra), famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and especially for its profusion of fountains. This garden is decorated with statues, monuments and flowers. We will return to the hotel and in the evening one can join the tour leader for a guided walk.


After breakfast we will have our last full day for shopping and other personal sighseeings. Check-out from rooms takes place in the morning. Kindly speak to the tour leader if you wish to check-out later for the room (extra cost). In the evening we will leave the hotel towards Rome’s airport for our Air Malta flight departing at 9.10pm and arriving back in Malta at 10.35pm
