THURSDAY 12TH DECEMBER | ARRIVAL, EDINBURGH TOUR, CASTLE & PRINCESS STREET CHRISTMAS MARKET

We meet at the airport at 3.15am for our Ryanair flight departing at 5:45am and arriving in Edinburgh airport at 8.45am. We will be transferred to central Edinburgh, drop-the luggage at the hotel and start exploring the capital of Scotland Old town and Royal Mile on foot. Will have the opportunity to admire the St Giles Cathedral, Scottish parliament and palace of Holyrood house. Afterwards we will check-in at the Mercure Hotel. Later in the afternoon will visit Edinburgh Castle (extra) and then proceed to visit Princess street Christmas market.

FRIDAY 13TH DECEMBER | GLASGOW

Full-day optional excursion will take us to explore the vibrant city of Glasgow, famous for its art collections and shopping, as well as numerous established restaurants and bars. We will have a coach tour to explore the gems of this city, such as the Cathedral, Necropolis, George Square and Gallery of Modern art. The rest of the day will be free for personal sightseeing.

SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER | HARRY POTTER TOUR & GEORGE STREET CHRISTMAS MARKET

Will start the day with the mystical Harry Potter guided walking tour (included), where we will explore the sites which inspired JK Rowling and discover the places where she wrote the books. Afterwards will join the tour leader to visit George Street Christmas Market, where we can warm up with some mulled wine or hot chocolate and also opt to have some fun at the Ice Rink. In the evening we will be visiting the Christmas Castle Light Display (entrance extra), which is a magical trail of lights that will transform the Castle into a magical place.

SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER | FIFE, ST. ANDREW’S & FALKLAND VILLAGES

Today’s optional excursion will take us to visit the fishing villages of Fife & St. Andrews villages. We will explore the quaint narrow streets and the pretty harbours. We will also visit the St. Andrew’s cathedral. Later in the day, we will visit the historic Village of Falkland, a quaint town in the Kingdom of Fife. This village is known to be one of the most beautiful in Scotland, mostly known for its Royal Palace.

MONDAY 16TH DECEMBER | KELPIES, STIRLING CASTLE, LOCH LOMOND & ROSSLYN CHAPEL

Full-day optional excursion will take us first to the Kelpies, where we can admire the 30 metres high horse-like sculptures standing over the Forth & Clyde Canal. Afterwards we will proceed to visit the Stirling Castle, one of the greatest stone castles to admire its fascinating archaeology. Later will proceed to the Loch Lomond, a freshwater Loch being the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery of surrounding Scottish hills.

TUESDAY 17TH DECEMBER | DEPARTURE

Check-out from hotel, and some free time for the last sightseeing or shopping in Edinburgh, before we get transferred to Edinburgh airport for flight departing at 1.40pm, arriving in Malta at 6.25pm.
