We will meet at Malta International Malta at 4.55am and board our Ryanair flight departing at 6.55am and arriving in Liverpool at 9.30am. Upon arrival we will be transferred by coach to our hotel in Blackpool and allocation of rooms shall take place. Together with the tour leader, we will have a walk around Blackpool, one of the most sought after places in England. Among the most popular attractions are the Pleasure Beach Blackpool and the Blackpool Tower, although the city has more attractions like the three piers, amusement arcades and a pedestrian zone on the promenade.
Today we leave Blackpool for an optional day excursion to the Lake District. We will stop in Windermere and have some time to take the ferry (extra) from Bowness to Ambleside by crossing this famous lake. There we will find the coach waiting for us. We will take a short walk through the main road to have a look at the old watermills which used to operate by the water of the Rothay Lake, separating this village. After leaving Ambleside we will have another short stop in Keswick, one of the most picturesque villages in the Lake District.
Today we start our day with an optional day excursion to Wales. The coach trip will take us through valleys and picturesque mountains. We will make a quick stop in the village of Llangollen and visit the Llanberis’s where one can ride the train still operated with coal (extra). We will also visit the National Park which is situated at the foot of the Wales’s highest mountain Snowdonia. Another interesting stop will be at the Llandudno’s most popular resort.
After breakfast, we will have an optional half day excursion to the characteristic city of Chester. We will have enough time to admire the old wooden homes and other places of interest, followed by some time for shopping from department stores. Upon returning to Blackpool we will have some free time for personal sightseeing and then later in the afternoon we will go to watch a musical on ice at the Blackpool’s Pleasure Park Arena (transport and entrance not included).
Today’s optional excursion will take us to Liverpool, a city of many attractions, also known for the story of the Beatles, for the many department stores and for its many parks and museums. The coach will take us on a city tour, where we will be able to see the Albert Dock, the Cavern Quarter, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mount Pleasand and the famous Anfield football ground. We will also have some free time to visit other places of interest or to do some shopping.
Today we will leave Blackpool and head to Glasgow in Scotland. We will make a stop at Gretna Green, the place for eloping lovers. Upon arrival at our hotel in Glasgow we will be allocated to our rooms and we will have time for a rest. Afterwards, if the weather permits, we will take a walk through the main roads of Glasgow or hop on an open top Decker Bus (not included).
Today’s excursion will take us to Fort William. Fort William is the largest city in the West Highlands of Scotland and is the commercial center of Lochaber. This zone is known for its magnificent scenery and its important history. Fort William hosts the highest mountain in the United Kingdom, Ben Navis. Loch Morar is the deepest lake and is surrounded by valleys, forests and bays. We will continue our journey to Fort Augustus a city located at the end of the Lochness. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Lochness and of the Caledonian Canal. On our way back we will pass through Glencore and the Highlands.
Later this morning we will have an optional excursion to Edinburgh where one can visit Princess Street, the historical Cathedral and Holyrood Palace (entrance not included). Free time to enjoy the atmosphere of Fringe Festival held in the Royal Mile. In the evening we will visit Edinburgh Castle (not included) built in the 12th Century and attend the spectacular show of the Military Tattoo. We will return to the hotel late at night or in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Today’s optional excursion takes us to the Highlands, where we will visit Loch Lomond and we will also have time for a short ferry trip on the Lake (not included). We will continue with our trip to the lovely village of Oban, a village which is visited by thousands of tourists from all around the world. We will visit a Whiskey Distillery (included) and later return to Glasgow.
We will leave early morning and head towards Edinburgh Airport to board our Ryanair flight departing at 7.30am and arriving back in Malta at 12.20pm.
