Wednesday:
We meet our tour leader at the airport at 1.10pm for our Air Malta flight departing at 3.10pm. We will arrive in Moscow at 8.10pm and then we will be transferred to our 4 star hotel in Moscow for check-in.

Thursday:
We will start the day with a a sightseeing excursion of Moscow. We will visit the beautiful Red Square with its majestic surroundings and the famous shopping mall, the GUM, followed by a visit to Sparrow Hill. In the afternoon, we will visit Christ the Saviour Cathedral, the second tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world, rebuilt and financed by public subscription; a monumental gem in the centre of Moscow. We will then visit the largest European museum of fine arts: the Pushkin (extra). This museum is a highly artistic feast of arts by world famous artists.

Friday:
Today we visit Lavra in Sergiev Posad (entrance extra), which is considered one of Russia’s most holy places. We tour these holy grounds and visit some of these most beautiful churches. Later we have enough time to visit the Souvenir Market situated outside the walls.

Saturday;
Our coach will take us to visit some of the most important landmarks in Moscow – the large Kremlin Palace Complex (extra). We will explore the most important cathedral within the Kremlin, the coronation place of the Tsars. The world’s largest bell and cannon are not to be missed. We will also visit the famous Palace Armory (extra), located in the Kremlin. The Armory is home to Moscow’s oldest and most prestigious of museums, which boasts a staggering collection of Tsarist artifacts, Russian and foreign jewellery. We shall later go on a Metro tour (extra) to learn about the history and architecture of the Metro subway system in the Russian capital city. It carries up to eight million people every day – more than New York and London put together – this system is one of the world’s marvels of inner-city transport.

Sunday:
After breakfast we head towards the railway station for our train to St Petersburg. On arrival we will have a mini cruise along the canals to admire the beautiful bridges, palaces, and gardens. Later we head off to our 4 star hotel for check-in.

Monday:
Today a panoramic tour of this Venice of the north awaits us in St. Petersburg. Our excursion will take us to visit some of the most important sights of this city. A stop at Nevsky Prospect is a must. We will have free time for personal visits and shopping. We will later proceed to visit the Fortress of Peter and Paul (extra) as the original citadel of St. Petersburg.

Tuesday:
We will start our day by visiting the world famous Petrodvorets (Peterhof) the main residence of the Russian Tsars (extra), founded by Peter the Great. In a huge park on the bank of the Gulf of Finland we will see the beautiful and elegant palaces and pavilions of the “Russian Versailles” Peterhof. Petrodvorets is famous for its beautiful fountains, marvellous man-made lakes and the gorgeous interiors of the Great Palace. Later we will visit ‘The State Hermitage Museum’ (extra) which occupies six magnificent buildings situated along the embankment of the River Neva, right in the heart of St Petersburg. The Hermitage collections of works of art (over 3,000,000 items) present the development of the world culture and art from the Stone Age to the 20th Century.

Wednesday:
We will be transferred to the railway station for our train back to Moscow. On arrival in Moscow we will have some free time for a walk in Arbat Street. Later we proceed to the airport for our Air Malta flight to Malta departing at 9.00pm and arriving in Malta at around midnight, Thursday morning.
